Hydro electric  energy uses falling water to produce energy.

Hydropower

Currently, Hydropower accounts for around 19% of the worlds energy production.

Hydroelectric stations require constant water supply and are often in high-altitude areas.

A lot Dams are hydroelectric dams. So when they release water it drops and turns the turbines efficiently.

Hydroelectric power in Australia, meets roughly 4.5 % of our needs.

The two many hydroelectric power plants are in Tasmania and the snow mountains (NSW).
