Respiration

As you’ve probably figured out in your life, breathing is pretty important. However respiration doesn't refer to how we breath but how our cells get energy.

Gas exchange in humans refers to our respiratory system.

Our lungs, alveoli, trachea and larynx all make up this organ system.

As we said above, the term respiration can also refer to what’s happening inside our cells.

Cellular respiration refers to how the cell breaks down glucose to create usable energy.
