Repetition


Memory can be improved through repetition. The more we repeat something the easier it is to remember is. Repetition helps memory.

Enhancing Memory

Try and remember these words

Millennial, Generation, drink, sharp, number, tattoo, regret, stroller, envy, mommy, time, bombing, wardrobe, malfunction, year, helicopter, parent, gadget, social, networking, turkey, Monday, language, fruit and Lake.

Strong stimulus

A strong stimulus, like a colour, light, smell or sound helps us remember things.

Which of these two people will you remember.

Patterns

If we make a pattern out of information we are more likely to remember it.

Linking random words in a story helps us to remember these words.

Bellow are 30 words.

Jet, apple, Justine Beiber, sharp, number, tattoo, regret, stroller, envy, mommy, time, bombing, wardrobe, malfunction, year, helicopter, parent, gadget, social, eating, turkey, Monday, language, fruit, lake, yellow, wool, table, quick, window.


Give your self 5 minutes to look through them. Either continuously repeat them in your head, or make a short story using all the words. At the end, try and repeat as many as you can.
